After seeing a pinball clock on the Crow River website, I decided to build one myself, using my own hardware and software.

The Pinball Clock Project

Essentially, this is a gutted out Magic City backbox, leaving only the score reels and lamps, with a PIC Micro controller and some custom electronics that make the score reels display the current time.

I described this project in detail in the December 2008 issue of the now defunct Gameroom Magazine .
